HARD CUT BACKS
Hard cut backs are done during the first quarter of the year on the following plants:
- Jatrophas
- Hibiscus trees (NOT Weeping Hisbiscus bush)
- Crape Myrtle
MOWING
April thru September the grass is mowed weekly.
January thru March, October thru December grass is mowed every other week.
Mowing schedule can be found on the BrightView Portal under "HOA Upstades" and the bulletin board located outside the Port Office.
Turf is fertilized four times a year.
MULCH
Coco Mulch is used on all the beds. You can find this color mulch at Lowes or Home Depot.
PALM TRIMMING
Palms UNDER 15ft are trimmed as part of the regular trimming rotation when required. Only the limbs that are yellow, brown, dead, or touching a screen or house will be removed.
Palms OVER 15ft are trimmed twice a year: Spring & Fall by BrightView Tree Care. Fronds will be trimmed with what’s known as a 9 and 3 or 10 and 2 cut. If you were to look at the palm as a clock, the lowest palm limbs will be between 9 and 3 or 10 and 2 after it has been trimmed.
TRIMMING/PRUNING
Pruning is done on a 6 weeks cycle based upon best pruning practices. Not all plants get pruned every 6 weeks.
Trimming/Pruning schedule can be found on the BrightView Portal under "HOA Updates" and the bulletin board located outside the Post Office.
WEED CONTROL
Weed management is completed through liquid treatment and at times hand pulling.
